LAUNCH OF PILOT PROJECT ON
'MENSTRUAL HYGIENE'
AT HARCHURAH TEA ESTATE

‘BLU ANGELS', a pilot project on 'Menstrual Hygiene' for the welfare of all women and adolescent girls residing in tea estates to promote health and hygiene especially during menstruation was ceremonially launched on Monday in the Harchurah Tea Estate. The project was officially inaugurated by Mrs. Bandita Asthana, wife of Mr. Atul Asthana, Managing Director of Goodricke Group of Companies. The function was organised at the estate in the presence of company dignitaries, representatives of the operating trade unions (ACMS/ACKS), students organisations, staff members, workers & residents of Harchurah Tea Estate.

The project was launched with an aim to spread awareness & educate women & adolescent girls on the subject of 'menstrual hygiene' and to promote the use of sanitary pads which will be made available at a very nominal price by the management through a group of trained women referred to and identified as the 'BLU ANGELS'.
